Bipartisan First Friday

Thanks to all who came out for First Friday! Here is another example of Elizabeth Geers Loftis' art we had on display. We are in the process of updating the website with what is available.

We are in Connecticut for a wedding this weekend. Hope the wedding goes much more smoothly than the drive up. All 8 lanes of I-95 were closed at one point for an accident. We were exploring highways and byways to get around all that. Would have been a lot more fun if we didn’t need to get to the church on time!

I do want to remind you that next weekend, October 11th, we will be having our sidewalk sale. Please stop by on your way to Falls Church Farm Days. We will have lots of treasures on sale.

Views of the Capitol

On the morning of the vice presidential debate our artists remind us that there is more than one way of looking at the same thing.
But regardless of our ideologies we have to remember that we are all in this together!
If you haven't registered to vote; what are you waiting for? See you tomorrow night!

More excitement!

"Fish Frolic on the Potomac" - I think Beth has outdone herself with this one. Of course you haven't yet seen the mermaids frolicing in the Tidal Basin either! I hope you can stop in on Friday night. It should be LOTS of fun.

I am plotting and planning the holiday hours for the rest of the year. We are repeating our Black Friday Champagne Brunch the day after Thanksgiving. Last year was a lotof fun. There were ladies that came at 10 that had been shopping since five am. Uh, wow? Got to admire the dedication!

I am thinking of hosting a Mens Shopping night on a couple weeknights in December. What do you think? Free advice, free gift wrapping, gift certificates, sales, parking in the rear of the building and best yet: NO GOING TO THE MALL. What do you think?

I am working through my to-do list of pricing new merchandise & plowing through the paper trail today. Whew, it's never ending!

Monumental Art Show - pt 2

It takes more than just a good eye to take a great photograph. It also takes a quick hand and lots of patience. Can you imagine how many years it took Cathy summers to get this first shot? Clear dawn, full moon, full blooming cherry trees all in one frame. Amazing! And lovely.
These are just two examples of Cathy's view of our nation's capital. Join us on Friday night from 5 to 8 pm and see more in person!
